| Day 1: La Paz - San Francisco Mine- Takesi |

We pick you up in your hotel in La Paz and drive approx. 2 hours to the San Francisco mine (4200 m). Here we start our trek towards the Animas valley. As we ascend the Apacheta Pass (4650 m) we can see the snow capped mountains of Illimani and Murrurata. After reaching the pass we will descend a precolumbian trail to experience an exciting change in flora and fauna. After approx. 5 hours we reach Takesi, where we will camp. |

| Day 2: Takesi - Pongo Pampa |

In the morning we restart our trek in direction of the Pongo Pampa River. During the day we can appreciate the natural bueaty of the vegetation of the Yunga region. After three hours we reach the river Kimsa Chata and in the afternoon we head towards Pongo Pampa River, where we camp.

| Day 3: Pongo Pampa - Yanacachi - La Paz |

Today we hike from Pongo Pampa to Yanacachi. On the way we pass the Chojlla mine. In Yanacachi we board our bus to drive back to La Paz.
