Reception at the airport or bus station of Cusco and transfer to your hotel. You should take a short rest in order to adjust to altitude. In the afternoon you'll have a city tour (approx. 4 hours). This tour includes the visits to Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the Cathedral of the Cusco, the famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman, archaeological sites of Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay.

After breakfast we are going on a full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Hundreds of visitors and people from remote communities dressed in their traditional and colorful attires to attend the Pisaq market and offer their products. Today, the market also has a tourist element, so there is an opportunity to buy souvenirs. Then we will drive through the Sacred Valley and have lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, where the Temple of the Sun and the Terrace of the Ten Niches stand out. Ollantaytambo was the site of the only successful Inca battle against the Spanish conquerors and the only town in the area to still retain its original Inca layout.Late in the afternoon we visit the church of Chinchero and return to Cusco.

Early in the morning pick up from the hotel and transfer to the train station in Poroy. The train trip will last approx. 3 hours (Train "Vistadome" class). Once we arrive to Aguas Calientes, we will take the bus to Machu Picchu. In the "lost city of the Incas" we will have our guided tour (2-3 hours) in which you will visit the most important and interesting places of Machu Picchu. After that you will have free time to explore the complex on your own. Overnight in a hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town).

After your breakfast you have the day to explore the village on your own or you can return to the complex of Machu Picchu (bus tickets and entrance fee not included the second day; extra cost USD 65,-). In the afternoon we take the train back to Poroy arriving in the evening. From here we will take you to your hotel in Cusco.
