After your arrival in Puerto Maldonado you will be met in the airport. Then we will begin the unforgettable journey in boat on the Madre de Dios River. On the way we look out for alligators, turtles, herons and other animals. Arriving at the lodge, you will enjoy of the exquisite typical welcome drink and settle in typical bungalows. After lunch we will visit the so called "Monkey Island". Located only five minutes from the lodge, in the middle of the Madre de Dios River, the monkey island hosts a great variety of monkey species: the noisy Maquisapas, the happy Achuñis, the impressive Frailes and the funny little lions “Leoncitos”. We can enjoy the very beautiful landscape with all the flora and fauna that they host and on the evening the amazing sunset in the Amazonian Jungle.

After breakfast we start an adventure through the virgin jungle. We’ll hike to the “Cocha Perdida” (Lost Cocha), that constitutes an ecosystem that is considered a refuge of a huge variety of animals like, nutrias, caimans, turtles, multicolor feather birds and the majestic jaguar. This area of huge swamps and “Aguajal” forests is unique because it is still maintained intact and almost untouched. We'll arrive to an amazing observation point, built at the top the biggest tree “Shihuahuaco”, from where you can observe the magical rainforest. Afterwards we can enjoy a pleasant ride in a canoe around the lake. We’ll return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon we offer an optional visit to the botanical garden or if you prefer to relax, you can enjoy the pool.

Today we start to another excursion across the magic jungle. We'll boat downstream on the Madre de Díos River to get to the beginning of our hiking path to the rivers Gamitana/Briolo, which is born in the heart of the virgin rainforest. These two rivers with their winding ways form huge channels on which we will return by canoe, observing closely animals like, turtles, caimans, butterflies and a great variety of insects. On the way we also have the possibility to fish or take a bath in the river. After returning to the lodge you have time to relax.
